And since the early 90’s, when it was introduced to personal care, it’s overtaken the beauty industry.

These rubbery compounds, most recognized as caulk in our showers, between tiles, and toilets. EWW!

Silicones are re-engineered to make shampoos, conditioners, treatments and gels!

So what? It’s a serious issue that hides in plain sight, and may be one of the culprits in hair loss.

Dimethicone: (Silicone derivatives)–leave cosmetic residue on scalp and hair for shine/detangling—and follicle

clogging! Hushed by big brands, these cheap derivatives touted as natural are derived from silica/sand!
They are making new versions all the time.   These questionable versions, shinier versions, slicker versions, seem innocent, except to the victims of hair loss.

newer unknown “new & improved” versions.  Unfortunately, their effects are not known either, until class action suits emerge as has been seen in very popular brands (W E N, MON*AT, etc.)

Sure, these derivatives add shine, like acrylic, polymers, and clear coats do to wood,
these are some serious blocking & clogging to the hair and scalp that
may be the biggest source of thinning hair this decade!

So, they don’t want us to talk about it lodging into the follicles to smother your hair to death.

Because of silicone’s relatively new appearance on the scene, its long-term effects are still undocumented, yet anyone can see that something is wrong with mainstream and salon products.
