DEAR ALAN,
Thanks for following up 🙂 I was actually wondering if the cumulative effect of this product was more akin to a traditional relaxer or a keratin treatment? I have 3 b/c hair and I like to wear it both straight and curly but I have a frizzy areas that I’d like to tame and reduce straightening time when I do. Would this product achieve that or just take all of the curl
out eventually?
Dear 3 BC Texture,
Simply Smooth would respond less than either the keratin or traditional relaxer most likely. Let’s say you would use it 4 times this month and blow it out each time. At the end of the month, let’s say you let it dry naturally, you would only notice that the curls, when wet, would be softer and more lazy. As it would dry, you would have all your curl back, but it would more likely be a little larger curl.

During your blowout time, though, your hair will stay smoother longer, and will resist reversion from humidity for sure.
The frizzy parts can be worked more often if needed, but would begin to loosen their strong reversion effects, thus giving you more control over these sections.
Once you see the desired effects, you can apply heavier in the curliest sections and less in the other sections.
Of course, it’s hard to tell you exactly. That’s why we have so many differing uses, because people see what happens and then tailor it with their knowledge and experience of their own hair.
Ultimately, this is super mild and safe ( active ingredient is a Vitamin C complex) , and it gives you very small and incremental results, so that you can tailor it to your exact needs.
Does this help?
Alan
P.S. Your blowout time will be reduced for certain, and you will be surprised at how much easier it will be!
