5 Tips for Menopause Hair Growth: After Menopause Does Hair Grow Back

Intro to Menopause Hair Growth: After Menopause Does Hair Grow Back

Menopause is a biological process that every woman will eventually experience.

You’ve probably done loads of research and realize it’s a complex issue.

Of course…….

After Menopause Does Hair Grow Back?” is a common question!

Dull, dry, breaking, and thinning hair with major changes in texture and volume are also being reported during menopause. This is caused by estrogen and progesterone levels decreasing, and testosterone increasing, thus wreaking havoc on moods, hair follicles, and ultimately self-esteem, especially if the hair is not quite up to snuff.

There’s a ton of research and opinions which can be overwhelming and frustrating, and some that are downright wrong.

Stressing about it only causes more hair loss.

Consider this:

What if you found out that your hair was already under attack and menopause pushed it over the edge?

We’ve found that many things are attacking the hair follicles. (Below, get your FREE Guide “12 Everyday Things Slowing Hair Growth: Hair Thinning Reversed!”

There are other factors that can contribute to lifeless, breaking, and thinning hair during menopause such as an unbalanced diet, high-stress levels, and illness.

Before we show you our 12 Everyday Things that affect hair growth, let’s look at these 5 things to maintain your best healthy hair during menopause.

5 Tips for Menopause Hair Growth

1. Eat a nutrient-dense diet: It is important to take care of your body from the inside out. Your daily intake of protein is important because it provides the amino acids that makeup keratin, which is the building block of your hair. Lean meats, beans, fish, eggs, dairy, kale, and asparagus are great sources of protein. If you are vegan, there are choices, yet stay away from soy. Otherwise, when you see your hair falling, you won’t be able to say we didn’t warn you.

Healthy fats, such as coconut, olive, and flaxseed, provide your body with long-chain polyunsaturated fats and linoleic acids which are necessary for hair structure.

Notice soy oil is NOT on the healthy list.

Fruits and vegetables are essential to provide a variety of nutrients such as vitamin c, vitamin a, vitamin b5, vitamin b12, folate, zinc, and niacin. Inositol, which can be found in nuts, leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, and whole grains, helps improve the function of scalp cells. Avoid refined sugar as much as possible.

2. Avoid soy, corn syrup, and mercury(fish): Unfortunately, soy protein is responsible for phytohemagglutinin, which is a plastic-like complex that lodges in the finest capillaries of the body. Follicles have some of the finest capillaries. Soy is used in everything from salad dressing, bread, protein bars, biofuel, and ink printed in a book. Unexplained hair loss is often due to this phytohemagglutinin!

Corn doesn’t exactly attack hair follicles, but many nutritionists will tell you that corn products disrupt so many metabolic processes and more, that your body will go into emergency mode again to get that disruptor out of the body or store it in the fat cells so as to not deal with it. With your body dealing with all the disruptors, there are minimal to no nutrients left to build hair.

Mercury is also a disruptor of the body’s metabolic processes and is not just in canned tuna. Watch out for swordfish, mackerel king, orange roughy, fresh tuna and even yellowtail.

3. Avoid substances that collect in or on your follicles: We worried about petroleum and mineral oil in hair products a few decades ago. But now, with “progress”, manufacturers have replaced those oils with silicones, acrylates, waxes, quaterniums, and plasticizers, which do wonders for making the hair look better, but that is until it thins out and falls out. For a more in-depth look at these ingredients, read Menopause Hair Loss: The Worst Things to Put in Your Hair!

4. Take care of your scalp: Healthy hair grows from a healthy scalp. Use a gentle, natural, and free from chemicals shampoo to cleanse your scalp.

Massage your scalp with the pads of your fingers in a circular motion for 4 minutes. This helps relieve tension and increase blood flow to your follicles.

Apply a natural oil to your scalp to help nourish the scalp. Belegenza Natural Hair Care’s SpotLite Shine Serum is a wonderful moisturizer for your scalp. It’s lightweight, non-greasy, and non-sticky.

With thin hair and bare scalps, it’s important to wear head coverings when out in the sun.

5. Nurture your menopause hair: Use natural, gentle, chemical-free hair products that will nourish your hair and scalp. And just because it says natural does not necessarily mean good for hair. Silicones are considered natural, yet they wreak havoc on hair and follicles.

Fine hair? Tinted? Indescribable damage?  If you have found yourself on the “TRY ANYTHING” wheel, it may be that silicone and synthetic products just can’t quite cover up the damage that has accumulated coupled with hormonal influences on the hair’s natural processes.   As Belegenza begins to purify your hair from these slick cover-ups, the true damage may be revealed and for the first few applications, your hair may tangle, feel dry or more brittle.  This is temporary, as the micro-conditioning agents make their way INTO the damage sites.  Keep going.  It’s temporary, and you’ll be glad you did! Not only that, we’re here to assist you through the process.  You can always start the conversation with “Alan-bot” who should have already popped up to help! If not, feel free to contact us at .

I just wanted to let you know how much I love these products.(Menopause Package) Finally, I have found a product line that works for my hair and scalp. Usually I only use part of a hair care line, either I only like the shampoo and conditioner or I only like the styling products. I love all the products in this line, they actually deliver what they say. I have had a problem with an itchy scalp for years. I am now convinced it was the chemicals in the products I was using that was causing my scalp to itch. Ever since I started using Belegenza, my scalp no longer itches and my hair is so soft and healthy. I wash my hair every other day, flat iron it, and color it every six weeks. You would never know because the products keep my hair in great condition. Thank you for bringing these wonderful products to consumers like me. You now have a forever customer. Please never change the integrity of these products and never stop selling them. Great products, wonderful service, I can't say enough about Belegenza.

I'm writing to congratulate you on your most informative new book: "Menopause and Hair Growth Exposed!". What a concise and very easy to understand compilation of all that anyone would need to know in order to begin or continue in a journey to more and healthy hair. I'm a molecular biologist, and obviously found your book practically a Bible of information that would convince anyone to use your safe/healthy products to enhance her hair! Of course, this book was written for women, but surely men would also be aided by your products and I am happy to see that you are writing another book specific to the male audience. A tip of the hat, wait, no need to think about wearing a hat, with Belegenza awesome hair products. Thank you for your allegiance to all of us, Sheila Johnstone"
