Belegenza

We have all heard most of our life that one should drink 8 glasses of water a day.

Does that mean 8 cups of coffee or tea which is , mostly water?

We have a simple test of what is really water for the proverbial 8 glasses of water per day, and it’s easy…even if it makes you mad!

Hint: Coffee, tea and other delicious, supposedly good-for-you waters do NOT count in the 8 glasses of water per day.

Water is just good for your body.

Even more amazing is that it’s good for your hair too!

Drinking adequate water will actually supports hair growth and assists in keeping hair fully hydrated in its growth phase.

If it’s that easy, just do it!

Sipping on 8 glasses a day is not how to do it though.

Water hydrates the body and helps regulate your circulatory system, which feeds the hair follicle, which will then stimulates hair growth.

With your hair roots deficient of water levels, your hair will eventually become dry and brittle. It just doesn’t get built with all its BEST materials, i.e. vitamins, minerals, fats and amino acids from your diet and supplementation without proper water levels in the body.

It may even stop growing.

Not good.

There is no excuse not to drink water and reap the benefits it can give your hair.

BUT there are valid reasons why you are not drinking 8 glasses a day.

For example, if you just broke it down to drinking 2 glasses of water before each meal, you still would only get 6 glasses a day.

But let’s face it.

You have a bottle of water here and there, throughout the day.
NOT GOOD, even though that’s popular lore told by every trainer, blogger, magazine, and tik-tok “expert.”

Then with a meal you might have more water, but a lot of times, it’s a fancy coffee drink, or fresh pressed juice or tea or soda or electrolyte water or you name your “fave.”

Who even has room after filling up with drinks full of creams, protein powders, soy, almond, oat, etc. laden concoctions?

NONE of those count, even though they, too are mostly water.

Why?

Because those have to be “digested.”

Pure water is absorbed, no digestive juices required.

Here’s an easy way to remember this.

Would I bathe or shower in my drink and not rinse off afterwards?

Pure water for showering and bathing is an obvious thing.

Imagine bathing in your morning coffee beverage, or a smoothie, or protein drink or even fresh pressed juice! EWWWWW. (For you saying to yourselves, “Well I’d rinse off afterwards….” you’ve proven the point. )

Pure water on an empty stomach is the key.

It has nothing in the way.

It absorbs, and seemingly is like rinsing the inside of your body as it pushes that water to each and every cell.

Drinking water all day, especailly on TOP of a meal is only diluting the digestion process already undeway, thus wreaking havoc on the proper break down of the foods that are used to build your body…..and hair.

So, this is the kind of thinking you must have.
